Your guide on the journey to your Authentic Self

ASA HUGGETT was born the middle child of a middle class family in the Midwest. She grew up, went to school, got married, had kids, got divorced and finally went to graduate school trying to find her path in life. She didn’t find it there. However, while working in a program for people with spinal cord injuries she was introduced to the healing arts, including massage therapy. She received her training as a massage therapist and opened a private practice. It was during this time in her life that she met Lakota author and teacher Ed McGaa/Eagle Man (Mother Earth Spirituality, Rainbow Tribe, Native Wisdom).  After a couple of years studying Native American traditions and ceremonies she met Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D. (Shaman, Healer, Sage, Dance of the Four Winds).  Although the external world looked much the same, the internal world took a turn...and she never looked back.

In 1999 Asa completed 5 years of training in Shamanic Healing with Alberto Villoldo. She has twice traveled to the Andes of Peru to receive her rites of initiation from the Q’ero medicine people, descendants of the Inka, and now has a private healing practice in the mountains of Western North Carolina. She is currently studying Archetypes and Sacred Contracts with Caroline Myss, Ph.D. (Anatomy of the Spirit, Why People Don't Heal, Sacred Contracts) and enjoys weaving together the ancient and the contemporary healing arts in a journey which reveals the path of the Authentic Self.
